Product Description
SanDisk is proud to announce our newest format to the SD memory card family: Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) available in 4GB and 8GB capacities. Memory card is rated Class 2 for speed and performance based on SD 2.0 specifications. The SDHC memory card is a highly secure stamp-sized flash memory card, which can be used in a variety of digital products: digital music players, cellular phones, handheld PCs (HPCs), digital cameras, digital video camcorders, smart phones, car navigation systems and electronic books, that follows the SD 2.00 specifications. The SDHC card has a security feature for protection of copyrighted data. What is SDHC? To support the higher capacity needs, SD cards are now requiring a different design. The new SD 2.0 specifications - which supports 4GB and up - is called Secure Digital High Capacity(SDHC). The SD Association has created and defined 3 speed classes to help you identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of SDHC cards and their SDHC host products. Please note that eXpansys vouchers cannot be used when purchasing this product.

great product, 17 Nov 2008

Bargain price for top branded card, 24 Oct 2008
Just how cheap can this memory get ?
I am using this card in my Kodak Z1015 HD video capable digicam, the card is fast enough to cope with HD video to be continuously streamed to the card, I recently shot a continuous 29 min video with no problems whatever (8GB would have given me much longer)...it seems just great
This card is classified as a "class 2", which means that it must have a minimum write speed of 2 megabites per second, this seems fast enough for my purposes, other cards are classified at class 4 (4 mb/s min) or class 6 (6 mb/s min), so its not the fastest, but it seems fine for video
Just a note though....make sure that the device that you plan to use this card with is SD HC compatible as some older devices wont recognise this card
I am sure that memory will get even cheaper, but this seems like a great price to me, high street retailers often charge three or four times this price...Sandisk is a well known brand name too...great value
value for money (but check price of the 16GB and the Extreme versions), 17 Oct 2008
What is there to say, it's a memory card, it stores things. It doesn't do much anything else. It does what it does well enough, it keeps the data; and it is reasonably fast.
It works great with my camera (EOS 450D), and you do need minimun of 8gb with a DSRL. Though you might now want to start looking at the 16GB to see if they provide better GB/£ ratio.
If speed is critical for you (as it sometimes is), then you might want to consider the Extreme versions from SanDisk (have one of those also). Yes they are more expensive, but you will want one of those if you for example do continuos shooting with a DSLR, then it's about the speed.
Cheap, big space, works., 14 Sep 2008
I use this product with my Asus EEE PC 701 4Gb for games storage. It writes a bit slow, but reading is quick. Very good value for money, cheaper and smaller than the equivalent USB stick. And it doesn't stick out either which is always a bonus.

I am still waiting for the product to arrive, i couldnt send a message to the user so i sent this review instead, i ordered it a week ago, and it is the third day after the estimated arrival date. Any chance of me knowing when i expect this to arrive?
Small and retractable , 14 Nov 2008
Initially I had problems with this Pen. On inserting, my Vista PC would crash (Blue Screen). I had other pen dives, which did not have this problem, although one other USB drive caused this error.
I decided to rebuild the PC and the problem went away. I guess the Pen was not at fault, but may be its more sensative than my CORSAIR 2 Gb pen.
The Pen also comes with software which allows you to keep your data and applications (like outlook) on the pen drive so that you can use different PCs. Did not get to test this functionality.
Annoying, flashing light, 12 Nov 2008
This is an affordable USB key which I bought primarily to take advantage of the Vista Readyboost function (which it is capable of, despite what another reviewer might have suggested). It is a little flimsy, but given the price that's to be expected. However, there is a downside. I use the key on a laptop which has all its USB ports built into the side. When being used with Vista Readyboost the (big) orange light flashes constantly and can become an annoying distraction. But as already mentioned maybe that's to be expected at such an affordable price.
In summary, this is a good USB key but if it's going to be used with a laptop without any rear USB ports you may want to look elsewhere.
Great but....., 08 Nov 2008
This is an excellent little Flash Drive. The only downside is the useless metal ring for putting on a keyring. It is too flimsy. Sandisk aren't the only people producing brilliant drive with no safe way of attaching the drive. These thinga are meant to keep your data safe, so why dont they design a nice solid part with a hole in to keep it safe??? I have the same problem with my Sandisk titanium drive.
Stopped working after 30 days..., 01 Nov 2008
...just outside Amazon's 30-day return window. So I am now having to deal with Sandisk (in the USA) to organise a return and warranty replacement. I have had several USB drives and I have never had one fail, until this Sandisk, my first 8 Gb model. The drive is no longer recognised by any PC.

So aside from being misled and hightening my expectations this product is great.

I got this for use in my Canon IXUS 85 IS and I so far have to report it's been flawless. 4GB for under £15 - that's just amazing! I just had to add another five star review to the bunch - if you need a 4GB SD memory card get this one! Make sure your camera supports SDHC memory cards, though.
Great price, great performance, 29 Oct 2008
At this price, you can't go far wrong. I bought this card along with a Nikon Coolpix P6000 and the card seems really quick when used in the camera and even quicker when used in a card reader. Highly recommended.

excellent value, 20 Oct 2008
purchased this after getting faulty card in high street.i paid twice the price in the high street for half the capacity, card is only limited by the camera read/write speed,if your in the market for a great camera card that is compact flash this is it!!! unless you are a pro,and you need the best of the best, you will not go wrong, great value, good reliable card and AMAZON JERSEY boys bang on with the goods, everything we want from the experience of online shopping!!
Great price, great performance, 17 Oct 2008
I bought this from Addonsworld in August for an Eos 450D and what can I say? The data transfer performance is excellent, it allows the camera to run at full speed in RAW mode (12mp!!!) and gives me 300 raw frames or 700 large jpegs. It also came with a card reader, which is vital for these new SDHC cards (standard readers can't read them) so I saved lots of money not having to buy a card reader. Will buy another one soon as a backup
Storage for Photography, 14 Oct 2008
I bought this for SLR photography. I considered the extreme IV but after discussion went for the Extreme III. There is very little difference in the use I put it to, so over double the price for the newer version just aint worth it in my mind.

great product, 17 Nov 2008
I received this card in good condition and 3 days early that estimated delivery....eventhough made in china but nothing problem with it....

for the money its well worth it! I use it for my pc and it works fine.
no probs what so ever 10/10
Still Waiting, 15 Nov 2008

First off this card is very good . it's fast , reliability is sound and it's good value . if you buy one you will not be disapointed . Second: If you want the USB reader and a CD with recovery software make sure you check the listing fully . I thought thats what i had ordered but i only got the card . there is one with the USB reader and recovery software with it and you will find it here " Sandisk 4gb Extreme 3 SDHC Card in retail packaging " . It was my own fault for not reading the listing carefully !!! . This was still a good buy at £13.84 and it gets 5 STARS ..
dislikes being misled!, 03 Nov 2008
first of all this is a great product, its the 30mbs edition and works fine in my D80, however some reviews in here claimed that this would come with a cd of recovery software and the usb card reader? neither of which came with mine! the packaging suggest that maybe it should but alass it did not.

Works with the HTC-S710, 04 Aug 2008
I've uploaded a couple of photos of what I received from Amazon on 2-Aug-2008; the microSDHC card and SD adapter.
The card works with my HTC-S710 Windows Mobile Smartphone.
It amazes me that such a tiny card can hold so much data and cost so little. It's so small that it isn't something I want to take out and put back into my phone on a regular basis because it is so fiddly to handle; I'll leave the data transferring to Bluetooth.
Not compatible with Garmin Edge 705, 22 Jul 2008
I bought this on an Amazon recommendation and when I received it (very promptly) discovered it was totally not compatible with Garmin Edge 705. Luckily, it does work with my mp3 player.
Was ok, but didn't last long, 18 Jul 2008
Does what it said on the tin. Useful little USB adaptor. Problem is I can't read / delete from it any more, as if it's locked in some way. Can still read files from it though.

Lovely little 16GB card - brilliant vfm!, 15 Nov 2008
This card does exactly what you expect of it - just put it in your device (I use mine in an ARCHOS605 but it will fit hundreds of devices) and it works straight away.
It's excellent value for money at around £20. Just think what this amount of memory would have cost you just 5 years ago! Marvellous!
There are bound to be rogue batches of EVERY electrical device - so don't be put off by negative reviews - this one's a winner! :¬)
Forget the negative reviews..great card!!, 12 Nov 2008
I bought this card to compliment my panasonic lumix tz5, who cares about the compatibility problems with old card readers, i bought a usb sd card reader from poundland ( yes £1) and it reads my card hehe, back to sd v sdhc, my camera can only handle 2gb sd cards and upto 16gb sdhc cards, which card should i have picked? anyway great card, great speed and great for shooting hd movies 720p with my camera, 3500+ 9mp pics with card..make your own mind up..ty transcend
Excellent BUT you need SDHC compatibility, 03 Nov 2008
I bought one of these to use with an Asus eee PC 901, and so far it has worked well. The read/write speed also seems good - around 15 MB/s.
However, please note that this is SDHC which is a different standard from plain SD. If you have an older card reader or a camera without SDHC compatibility, you will not be able to use this card. The Hama 35-in-1 USB card reader (sold by Amazon for a few pounds) is compatible with SDHC, so you could use one of these instead of your computer's built-in reader.
Works well on eee pc 701, 31 Oct 2008
Very impressive for the price, found similar compatibility issues to others with my aging XP desktop's card reader but for my brand new 701 no problems.

This item is a total rip off even at such a bargain price. Take my advice do not waste your time on this rubbish. This is the worst thing Amazon has ever sold in my opinion.

Simply the most reliable and cost effective storage products I have bought. Nothing else to say!
ScanDisk eXtreme 111, 17 Nov 2008
Exelent product, even comes with a MicroMate USB reader and software. This card produces excelent results with my Nicon camera. I reccomend this mem. card.
great card to have, 06 Nov 2008
So aside from being misled and hightening my expectations this product is great.
Supreme!, 01 Nov 2008
I got this for use in my Canon IXUS 85 IS and I so far have to report it's been flawless. 4GB for under £15 - that's just amazing! I just had to add another five star review to the bunch - if you need a 4GB SD memory card get this one! Make sure your camera supports SDHC memory cards, though.
Great price, great performance, 29 Oct 2008
At this price, you can't go far wrong. I bought this card along with a Nikon Coolpix P6000 and the card seems really quick when used in the camera and even quicker when used in a card reader. Highly recommended.

purchased this after getting faulty card in high street.i paid twice the price in the high street for half the capacity, card is only limited by the camera read/write speed,if your in the market for a great camera card that is compact flash this is it!!! unless you are a pro,and you need the best of the best, you will not go wrong, great value, good reliable card and AMAZON JERSEY boys bang on with the goods, everything we want from the experience of online shopping!!
There is very little difference in the use I put it to, so over double the price for the newer version just aint worth it in my mind.

do not buy this for a R4 card, 25 Oct 2008
This card does not work in R4 cards trust me the one i bought didn't

Cheap for a reason, 17 Nov 2008
I just received this and after trying it in 2 computers, it doesn't work at all. I am sending it back for a refund. Not impressed.
Back [up] in a Flash, 12 Nov 2008
Great capacity, a fast and simple way to back up my files at the end of each day. Small, lightweight, fits securely onto keyring or can easily be worn on chain round my neck for safety when travelling, so even I can't lose this one on the train...!
Great product at a great price, 22 Apr 2008
build quality could be better, but does what it says on the tin. Also IS vista ready boost compatible.
16Gb for under £50.... it would be rude not to!, 10 Apr 2008
What a great device this is. Bags of storage, at a great price. This little gem hasn't let me down and is fast and easy to use.

great product, 17 Nov 2008
I received this card in good condition and 3 days early that estimated delivery....eventhough made in china but nothing problem with it....
Worth the Cash!, 31 Oct 2008
for the money its well worth it! I use it for my pc and it works fine.
no probs what so ever 10/10
Still Waiting, 15 Nov 2008
