Mediocre at best, 19 Nov 2008
We ordered the igroove with high expectations after reading all the reviews. A lot of these rated the igroove above the Bose.. And I think they are right.. That however does not show the soundock/igroove in good light.
The igroove is mediocre at best. As soon as I turned it on I wondered if the equalisers weren't right.. and I looked to set them up but I wasn't able to get the music going. I thought it was the song and i changed that to a higher bit rate song.. that didn't help either.. After trying a lot I realised that the basic problem was with the product. It is a small speaker and is not capable of generating rich music.
It can be mediocre at best. The bose at £290+ is definitely not worth the money. If at all you're adamant invest in the klipsch.
I wouldn't put my money on it though ..

Never heard of Klipsch but after reading the reviews decided to buy one and I am so glad I did.The sound is amazing, good base and top end range, remote works really well, the price on Amazon won't be beat "fantastic value" and it does look nice in black too.Stop here and save yourself time, you won't go far wrong with one of these!
one star is too much, 11 Nov 2008
A sleek looking speaker system that has style. However when it comes to the sound it failed miserably. I bought it on the strength of the good reviews. The sound was jarring and rattling with a very strong uncontrollable base note. I would have expected a sound like this from two cans and a string stretched between. I returned it promptly and am now looking for a speaker system that really delivers the goods.
Excellent sound but..., 11 Nov 2008
Love the product but should just point out that for new generation ipod touch, while it is a dock it does not recharge whilst in use. This is the only drawback if you are going to use it for an extended period ie: a party. If it was not for this one point I would have given all 5 stars. For the money the sound quality is fantastic, almost too much bass, and I never thought I would say that for such small speaker unit. Any controls for other than volume you have to do via your ipod.
Better than the Bose!, 09 Nov 2008
Listened to the £150 (half price!) Bose. This is just so much richer. The price made all the differance aswell, Half that price again. Wonderful

Not compatible with iPhone, 04 Nov 2008
This product got great reviews which was why I bought it, and at a great price I was happy as these are generally much more expensive. Unfortunately though none of these reviews pointed out that it didn't work with iPhone so when I rushed home to play with my new toy I was very disappointed to find that it was useless! Next time I will definitely double check this before buying. Although on a plus note I will say that Amazon's returns procedure seems to be very efficient so far.
THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH THE NEW NANOS!, 30 Sep 2008
Do NOT purchase this product if you have a new ipod nano 3rd generation (the tall thin ones that come in 8gb & 16gb). I have this and to be fair, it worked absolutely fine with my old nano (the short, fat one that was available in 8gb) but IT DOES NOT CHARGE the new generation nanos. Do not waste your money. If you have an older generation ipod however, these speakers are perfectly fine for the money.
Not compatible with all iPods!, 29 Sep 2008
I got this to be a dock for my daughter's new iPod Touch, and the product description says it works with 'dockable' iPods. The New iTouch does slot in, but does not charge, and does not power the speakers either - you need to use the auxiliary cable for that. It sounds OK, and the product isn't too bad, although build quality isn't much, the dock connector is wonky for a start. I regret buying this, it looked like a bargain, but it isn't, it's a get-what-you-pay-for gadget.
Unlike with a previous reviewer, the iTouch didn't get damaged, but I am forced to give one star, although it is probably OK as a general MP3 player speaker kit.
DO NOT BUY! whatever you do..., 25 Sep 2008
Do not buy this :@ The dock plug on the docking station does not fit the ipod nano 3rd gen. series properly so when i tried to plug my ipod into it it wrecked the plug on my ipod, making it TOTALLY USELESS!! i wish i could rate this 0 stars....ive alredy had to replace my ipod docker once now im going to have to replace that once again and my ipod :@
What a great product, 11 Sep 2008
I have had these speakers since May and they are still working perfectly. The sound quality is very good for the price, however if you want something which is very loud and doesn't distort at full volume then you will be paying far more than you are for these.
All in all a very good speaker set and would definitely recommend. Sound quality is good and very clear, more than loud enough to fill a small room.

Great speaker! the sound is good and crisp (nice with the new kings of leon albumn ;) ) very simple to set up and i was blown away at the quality of them. havnt stopped using them since they arrived. the spakers come with various adapters so they can fit any ipod or mp3 or they can be plugged into a laptop/pc with the cable provided. the romote worked exactly as it was supposed to so i dnt have to bother getting up to change the song and it charges at the same time !
i have just bought two more of these as i know they will make amazing x-mas gifts.
and at £14.99 u gota be freaking silly not to get these !!!!!!!!!
Excellent!, 14 Nov 2008
The sound is really really good... loud, clean and punchy... a great buy for sure!
Close but no cigar, 11 Nov 2008
You dock your ipod, press play and stand with amazment. The little speakers are wonderus. The sound is so crsip and strong you can hardly believe it. So you grab the remote and go and sit down and try browsing to find your favourite music and you can't!! You have to stand up and walk to it every time you want to change the the album!!! Apparently it is my fault for having iPod touch.
I was tempted to return it to Amazon because they should not advertise it as fully compatible with all iPods but I only paid £15 so I think I'll keep it. I'll have to find a place for it close so I can easily reach when I want to change the music...
Brilliant - superb value for money....!, 30 Oct 2008
I have never been moved to review a product until now! What a superb little piece of kit this is!
Honestly, if you are looking for something to play your ipod through and don't want, or can't afford to spend a fortune then look no further than this little beauty! Great sound with good bass (adjustable too!), full remote control, Bose it ain't but for twenty quid you cannot lose. Buy one, you will not regret it...!!

regardless of price, quality headphones, 18 Nov 2008
these headphones have been designed for great sound. they have thought about everything from the careful leaving out of a volume control, to the gold plated connection. they really pack a punch: the bass can make your spine vibrate and even the highest volumes don't damage the quality of the sound, except for sometimes at very high pitches at very very loud, it can become slightly tinny. they are also so comfortable that after a while you forget you're wearing them. i think that sennheiser would not dare damage their reputation by producing anything that wasn't up to their very high standards, and even if they made a bigger profit from this individual product, if the headphones weren't up to standard, customers would think twice before buying from them again. overall, although you won't be absolutely blown away by the sound, they are worth twice what they are being sold for here and they are really great headphones if you are a music lover who isn't completely loaded.
Good phones, 18 Nov 2008
realy good headphones use mine on my computer, they don,t sqeeze your head, only problem with that is you have to have the volume up a bit more than Usual, but very nice sound, for the price recommended.
Really good for the price, 30 Oct 2008
As many other people have said these phones are a lot better than you'd expect for the money. I got them because the missus works from home and needs some peace and since they arrived I've been using them with my PS3 for games, movies and music. I've been proper surprised how crisp the sound is. I've noticed most on the games, found they really add to how much I enjoy them. They keep the sound in very well too. I'm laid up with a broken leg so been on it all day and the missus says they much better for not distracting her so we both happy. The value of these phones really is excellent, compared to some Phillips ones we just tried that were ten quid more, sounded worse and didn't keep sound in at all, she said they actually worse than not using any because it was a high annoying tinny sound. Noticed a big difference when listening to music with a lot of base. they managed to go quite loud without distorting. Overall am very pleased with them. Just didn't think you could get this good so cheap, recommended.
LIght as a feather, 23 Oct 2008
I got a pair of these headphones to use for gaming without disturbing the family. Since I use Sennheiser buds with my music player I thought i'd try their headphones.
The cans are extremely lightweight and comfortable. So much so that you hardly notice that you are wearing them. They have a decent 3m cable that is just the right length, not too long, not to short.
For the £20 I paid for them the sound quality is very good. They are not the last word is audio quality but they are crystal clear and very good value for the price. They are not overly bassy and in fact the sound is well balanced. Ideal for gaming actually.
The HD210's are great for general use but if you want the ultimate is fidelity then you'll need to raid a bit extra out of the piggybank.
Recommended.
Good sound quality for the price, 18 Oct 2008
It's been a long time since I changed my main headphones, I previously used a pair of Koss 4AA bought way back in the 70s (which are still made in an updated form). They had a great upper frequency detail but not a great bass and were extremely heavy. While this pair definitely doesn't have the same high frequency detail they do have good bass and are thankfully nice and light. Build quality is as you'd expect at this price, good enough although I find the microphony of the cable slightly irritating.

Quality Box, 18 Nov 2008
Great sound for a stereo of it's size. The bass and treble sounds are outstanding, even playing the bog standard mp3 files on my ipod.
My classic ipod fitted into the dock without any problems. You can browse through the menus on your ipod using the RDI remote control which is a nice feature.
The DAB radio auto-tuned no problem. I now get a good reception on 5live for the first time in my life!!
Nice product - stunning support, 06 Nov 2008
Intempo Digital RDI iPod Speaker Dock With Built In DAB
I purchased one of these from Amazon in February and have been very pleased with it. It does everything well, not stunning, but solid (I didn't expect stunning quality for the money). Woke up this morning, switched it on and nothing, nada, zip etc. Unit was powering on and iPod dock still worked but no FM, no DAB and no display.
Quick check on the web led me to the intempo website, which is very simple and gives some contact details. I sent off an email in the hope that someone would get back to me (anyone that uses email as a contact method for customer services orgs would probably agree with me that they are treated as the least urgent). Anyway, after a brief flurry of activity today they are coming tomorrow to collect the unit for repair AND giving me a replacement at the same time. I'm always one for moaning about service etc but I thought that that was worth writing a review about. Well done Intempo - great service.
Cradles for which iPods??, 06 Nov 2008
No iPod models are listed, anywhere on the carton or in the instructions manual.
However, in the package there are 'cradles' to hold various iPods.
These have printed on them iPod Nano, iPhone, iPod Touch, and Nano 3rd Generation. There are also two cradles which have no annotations.
Great Buy And Charges Nano 4th Gen , 02 Nov 2008
Treated myself to one of these for Christmas and of course when it comes you have to test it make sure all is fine, the best part is that this unit not only plays music from my ipod it also charges my Nano 4th Gen (most older docks wont something to do with the firewire pin being removed from the unit) So this will charge all new Ipods.
The sound is very good lots of Bass and when i scanned for DAB it picked up many stations just by using the aerial connected to the back of the unit. All in all i am delighted with this purchase. Just gutted Amazon droped the price by a tenner 2 days after purchase. LOL
INTEMPO EDI - JUST GOT IT YESTERDAY, 21 Oct 2008
JUST GOT THIS ITEM YESTERDAY AND IT LITERALLY TOOK ME JUST A FEW MINUTES TO SET IT UP. scanned for channels automatically. GREAT... AND THE SOUND IS GOOD. AT LEAST, THERES NO COMPLAINTS FROM ME. HOWEVER, WHEN U INCREASE THE VOLUME REALLY HIGH, YOU CAN HEAR SOME DISTRACTIONS THROUGH THE SPEAKER AT THE BACK. BUT, HEY, I AM NOT GOING TO LISTEN THAT LOUD UNLESS OF COURSE, IF I AM ALMOST DEAF.
NAVIGATING THE SYSTEM USING THE REMOTE CONTROL IS STRAIGHTFORWARD. IT DOES WHATEVER I NEED THE DOCKING SYSTEM TO DO.
I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM.... ITS GREAT AND I AM ENJOYING IT.

It sounds OK, and the product isn't too bad, although build quality isn't much, the dock connector is wonky for a start. I regret buying this, it looked like a bargain, but it isn't, it's a get-what-you-pay-for gadget.

question for 360guy, 16 Nov 2008
Im thinking of buying this but its to replace my old Sony 5.1 system that i plug my 360 into. I notice you say there's no way of plugging the 360 into this system but the specs say it has an Optical in so Why don't you use that ?
Quite good for a surround sound 'sound' not a hifi replacement!, 16 Nov 2008
Sony DAV-DZ260 - 5.1 ch - DVD Home Cinema System - Black
** £129 brand new in Sainsbury's by the way **
Good piece of kit. Sounds quite good, not a worthy replacement for hifi separates but fine for surround sound purposes. Not a "cure for cancer" like most reviews on this product seem to claim.
It is easy to set up with miles of colour coded cables. HDMI and optical cables are NOT included. USB port won't read Hard Disks, only USB sticks. Regarding radio, the FM antenna is included but it's rubbish, so plugged it into the FM arial in the house which is not ideal if you're using that for the TV! Not tried the Digital Media port because there isn't a cable for this either...
Great hdmi upscaling DVD player so still can't see the point of buying blue ray stuff! Music channels sound great when on loud but too much bass and treble - extremes of both levels rather than a balance/synergy which is why i'm a little disappointed to be replacing my old hifi separates. But if you're not a big audio-phile then this is a good surround set.
Can't hear much from the rear speakers either by the way. In fact I watched The Departed last night and got hardly anything out of the rear speakers. Talk shows sound better through the TV only.
It will split stereo broadcasts into 5.1 surround which is good but then you have to keep changing the settings back and forth for this. And as with any digital output, the result is only as good as the source in the first place.
Brilliant!, 15 Nov 2008
I bought this item following all the reviews on here - they weren't wrong!
This little system - for the money - ticks all the boxes & actually sounds excellent into the bargain, as well as really easy to install.
The only thing I found was that I needed a digital optical cable from the 'system' into my Sony Bravia TV, as well as the HDMI cable, in order to benefit from surround sound whilst watching TV, #ie not a DVD#.
Excellent - Many thanks to all the peeps who took the time to review!
Mike Helensburgh, 09 Nov 2008
This is my first ever purchased home cinema system.Would have spent more if neccessary. However the reviews on this product were so good,I decided to go ahead.Great piece of kit.Sound is amazing especially the base.Wife says its just like being at the cinema. However not sure whether the dog is enjoying it as much.Well done sony for the product and well done Amazon for the price and very prompt delivery
Excellent Value for Money, 09 Nov 2008
I recently purchased this home theatre system, mostly based on the many positive reviews on this site, the price, and the high number of connectors (HDMI, optical audio input). I am very impressed with this unit and highly recommend it, especially to owners of Sony televisions with HDMI connectors. The "One Touch" DVD play feature works very smoothly and the audio quality is great. Also works well as a stand-alone CD player. Highly recommended.

ITS GREAT AND I AM ENJOYING IT.
question for 360guy, 16 Nov 2008

Klipsch Room Groove - Wireless iPod Speaker System
Never heard of Klipsch but reading the previous reviews i decided to take a leap of faith and place the order. I am so happy i did, and so is my bank manager! Looks good, easy to set up and really good sound from an ipod system. Much better than anything i played with on the high street in this price range. I did look at higher priced systems, but on reflection, they did not give me much more than this does, just an emptier purse.
I am not a techy, just a music lover that wanted a speaker system to do my fav tracks justice and shake the walls when the mood takes me! This delivers on both points.
Many thanks to the reviewers that went before - you were right :)
not so dull!!!!!, 04 Sep 2008
i have never owned an ipod before and i was looking for a docking station as well.picked these items as they looked easy enough.took me no time to work out how to use the ipod {taking me a while to down load all my cd's } and the docking station was very easy {plug in and away to go}. the sound is brill. , as good as my hi fi system , we are loving it . will buy more stations for use around the house.
Klipsch rides again!, 26 Aug 2008
Just set up my Room Groove, lovin it!
I already own the smaller STX model, which is great. I wanted another unit a bit bigger, so thought I would give this one a go.
Since I bought the STX in late 07, I have been checking the reviews as they have built up, I am pleased to see that others are sharing my enthusiasm for the overall sound quality and design, there are a few that are disappointed that it will not replace a 2K PA rig, hmmm. I can see dense people!
In general Klipsch seem to be building an excellent reputation in the UK for good quality at a price below the popular well known competitors. The Room Groove continues along the same lines in my opinion. Sounds great, looks good.
The wireless capability is a good idea, I don't own two units so cannot provide feed-back at this stage. I am sure I will at some stage in the near future.
If you want a quality Ipod speaker unit, look no further.
Cant afford this one? Get the STX.
The Best Buy , 20 May 2008
Over the last 30 years we have had many types and make of Hi-Fi in our family. For the last 18 months we have used a compact Denon system but although good is not portable. Our son just upgraded to an 80gb ipod so at 50 years old we followed suit.
Having read the reviews on the Klipch,Bose and Tanoy docking systems we decided to try the Klipsh.
I,ve come home from work to find the system up and running.
The sound reproduction across the range is really good with no distortion
at all. The whole unit is solid and well built. As I had never heard of Klipsh before maybe they need more exsposure in the UK. At under £200.00 this is a bargin that I would strongly recomend concidering.

Customer Reviews
Top Item, 17 Nov 2008
Intendo IDS505 W Speakers and Doking Station, 16 Nov 2008
linked with a mini mp3 player plays great sound outstanding for price better than most sterio units costing much more would recommend outstanding value a very solid unit.
Thumps up =], 15 Nov 2008
