Bought this as an alternative to the xbox wireless network adater. It works perfectly and my connection is faultless, i really would recommend this for everyone!
Great Products, but setup not so AVeasy for me, 31 Oct 2008
Once I got this up and running, it's brilliant. I'm getting about a 180Mbs connection which has replaced my flakey old wirelss connection. However, for me the set up was not as easy as they make out, prehaps because the instructions were poor.
great product, compatible with old dLAN 200 AV, 13 Oct 2008
Just to echo that this is a great product - I've been using the older dLAN 200 AV plugs (*without* security button) for over a year without issue.
Bought a new pair to extend my network without realising these were a new model (*with* security buttons) and was relieved to find that my older dLAN 200 AV plugs were supported with a simple firmware update. The only, very minor, downside is that you can only use the software to set the encryption password rather than being able to use the buttons to do it. Note that this is only the case when you mix old and new dLAN 200 AV plug types. Be sure to use latest software from the web site.
One word of warning, however, is that while these devices may co-exist on a mains network with the slower (85 Mbps, blue) Devolo products - they will not communicate with them.
Excellent product, excellent support, my only gripe being that they're a little pricey.
Does what it says on the tin!, 21 Sep 2008
After battling with WiFi issues for a streaming music system in our house, moved to the 200 Mbit Devolo and everything just works... Shamefully rare for a technology product, but I highly recommend these.
Excellent - better than WiFi any day., 21 Sep 2008
This is literally a plug and play product. It was up and running in 5 minutes. If you have any problems with the vile WiFi systems available these days, use your own household electrical cables to make a network with these things.
No security problems either, so some smart alec can`t sit outside your house with a laptop stealing your sensitive data. As long as you have disabled the WiFi stuff on your router that is.
I have no connection with the company other than as a very happy customer.

No way it shreds 10 pages!, 07 Apr 2008
It is a good little shredder but it doesn't come close to 10 pages at a time. Granted the paper we are shredding is 100g/sm, but 3 is the maximum. It will also stop working after 12 minutes if used constantly (thermal cutout). There is no way I would feed this CD's unless I'd already ordered its replacement!
What a great little shredder!, 02 Apr 2008
I've had several cheapo shredders and all failed miserably within a couple of weeks. To be honest, I did not really think paying more would necessarily mean getting a decent device that reliably does what it says on the tin. I need not have worried. This shredder is just great. It has a really usefully sized hopper for colecting all that shredded paper, as well as thoughtfully designed wheels on the base to help glide it around my home office. The shredding function could not be simpler - nor easier to use. So long as you are sensible with not putting too much paper through, it shredds wonderfully. The additional ability to shred credit cards is just great - and has saved me from spending more money than I need to! The ability to also shred CDs/DVDs is also there - but I've not yet had call to use it. I have no doubt it will be as effective as the other functions on this well made, very solid device.
If you want a decent shreddder that is likely to last well, I'd strongly recommend this one.
Good quality shredder for a good price!, 11 Jan 2008
It's not often I find the time to reveiw a product and I have certainly bought a lot from Amazon and am always impressed by their service. After having several of the everyday cross cut shredders which are too small and unbelievably cumbersome and messy to empty, this one is a dream come true! I work from home so I have a lot to shred! This one has a drawer, with a little window to view how full it's getting, so you only need to pull it out and empty. Very little mess involved and a much larger capacity than the everyday ones you can buy everywhere. Takes up to 10 sheets of 80 gsm paper and even has a credit card slot!
I paid £66.93, which included postage, from an Amazon Market Trader called 'The Warehouse.Com. I ordered it Sunday evening and it arrived Tuesday morning! Unbelievable service!

This adaptor worked brilliantly for about two weeks, then the connection became intermittent at best, with error messages telling me it had malfunctioned and was not recognized, and has now completely given up altogether. Very disappointed after such a promising start.
DWA-140 & Vista, 04 Aug 2008
It won't work with Vista at all, even using the newer driver from D-Link.I connected for a max of 2 mins in the same room as the router. It will work with XP but you need to disable/enable manually everytime you turn your computer on if you want to surf the net. In other words, the kids cannot connect themselves. My Old Netgear G series adapter was much better & stable.
top quality - easy setup - strong stable connection, 15 May 2008
took about 1 minute to have it fully connected. much better than the Netgear equivalent, which never held a connection for more than 15 minutes. has been permanently connected for over a week since first installed. nice heavy stand which will not move around on your desk, or you can plug it straight into the usb socket if preferred. RECOMMENDED

This Gadget cost me dearly! READ BEFORE YOU BUY!!!, 14 Nov 2008
Impressed with all the fantastic reviews, I added the Pico to a PC on my home network and the network immediately became so slow it was unusable (to the extent that when on a different PC on the network, the screen was at least 5 characters behind the keyboard - I'm a 2 finger typist).
The problems really arose when I decided to take it off the PC. I uninstalled the software and removed the yoggie as instructed and something - either a hidden part of a program not removed or changes made to the opertaing system - immediatley caused my network ports on the PC to shut down completely. The other two computers on the network could see the PC to which the Pico had been attached, but try as I might, I could not get them to communicate with it, though they could with each other. Even restoring the PC to a point before the Pico would not open the network ports.
In the end I called a PC Tech to come round and try to solve the problem. In 4 hours of trying he couldn't do anything to help. In the end he had to take the PC away to completely remove the hard drive, clone it, reformat the hard-drive, reinstall the operating system and then copy across all the programs & data back onto it. You can guess what that cost me (not to mention the data loss of emails etc. - Yes, I now know why these should be backed up too).
If you read the PC Magazine reviews they all say what a fantastic little gadget this is, and the concept is! But if you stick 'gatekeeper pico problems' in your search engine you will see that mine is not an uncommon experience.
"But surely they would not sell it if was that bad?" you might say to yourself.
My advice, for what it's worth, is 'Be aware and don't risk it', this liitle gadget has cost me dearly!
Not quite what the reviews say....., 27 Oct 2008
I run 32bit Vista Home Premium and before reading a few blogs became a victim to the blue screen of death when installing the Pico. Once installed it seems to be effective but IT DOES NOT BLOCK WEBSITES FROM VIEWING YOUR IP, be warned this is not an stealth browsing tool as some reviews suggest. It will stop those on unsecured wireless networks from seeing your laptop connected but it wont stop websites logging your IP if you are using a home connection. Despite just about every review claimiing this, Yoggie have failed to point out the error in the claim somewhat conveniently. (Why dont reviewers actually research the products before making stupid claims..)
Yoogie Pico, 10 Oct 2008
Item seems to work well but there are 4 points you should note. The free software that comes with it is not Vista compatible and you will get the blue screen of death trying to install it. While the yoggie is updating you loose your ability to look at webpages until it finishes. You have little control over settings; you can set Low, Medium or High protection but you will not get the options to allow or block programs through the Firewall like you normally would through Windows. Also if you have 2 USB ports close to each other you loose the use of the other USB port because the Yoggie physically blocks it.
So if you hate your machine being slowed down by AntiVirus software, don't like being involved in the process and don't mind having no options to custimize it then you'll love it.
Great Product!!, 21 Sep 2008
I think this can revolutionise security software. Works very well with Windows Vista and keeps my laptop well protected from alot of pop ups and small memory leaks during surfing the net. Recommended to people with a computer that is slow and cannot hack todays security software.
Problems with my Yoggie, 14 Jun 2008
Beware of the following problem. I use Windows Vista ( the same problem could exist with other versions ) and Active Sync to syncronise my tasks, appoitments, calender and contacts with my mobile PDA/Telephone and my computer. Once I installed the Yoggie, Active Sync stopped working ! I contacted their support team and they said that they were aware of the problem and looking into it, this was three weeks ago and they still havent fixed the bug.
No mention of this on their web site !

Good value, low-volume shredder, 10 Mar 2008
PROS: relatively small size, easy to fit under a desk till needed; good looking design; simple to operate; doesn't require shredder oil; makes a good job of chopping up sheets of paper (I haven't tried a credit card yet).
CONS: emptying the waste bin can be a bit messy; the bin fills up quite quickly; I found it best to feed paper in 1 sheet at a time to avoid over-straining the motor; fairly slow, so best suited to occasional use.
OVERALL: a good machine for the price, but best suited to light use only.
Disappointing at best!, 24 Feb 2008
I purchased the Rexel to destroy junk mail etc. but quickly found that even an envelope containing a folded piece of paper was enough to stall the shredder motor! - even with a single leaf of A4 it starts to groan!
I would reccomend anybody considering this machine to buy a pair of scissors instead - they will be far quicker!
Best shredder around for under £30, 09 Jan 2008
This is one of the best shredders I have ever used, and it's only £30! Absolute bargain! Visually, it looks quite sexy, it's a great size, can shred credit cards and can hold a reasonable amount of paper and never jams! It can also take about 8 sheets at a time, although it is not recommended..
It also comes nicely packaged and requires no assembly whatsoever - just plug straight in and begin using.
Buy this shredder - it also comes with free delivery which is an added bonus!

Perfect, 03 Nov 2008

Beware ordering this from Beaufort if you want a genuine Kensington lock, 24 Sep 2008
If you want what you see on the screen, a genuine Kensington lock, then my advice is to beware of ordering from Beaufort. I know the Kensington lock well, we have them at work, so I ordered one knowing the quality. What I received was a Compaq branded item with a thinner cable and a lock which does not inspire the same confidence as the genuine Kensington item.
A great lock and thumbs up for AbsolutelyFreeShipping! , 29 Jul 2008
This is a nice lock for a notebook, the parallel configuration of the cable is very useful for small laptops as it does not interfere with adjacently placed peripherals. I purchased this from
AbsolutelyFreeShipping, which is the cheapest option once the delivery price is included. I was given the wrong kensington model that (confusingly!) has an almost identical model name, emailed the seller and got a reply back within 10 mins, and the correct product a couple days later. The seller also asked me to keep the incorrectly sent lock free of charge as a backup. Both lock and seller strongly recommended!
exactly the right thing, 15 Apr 2008
The slim microsaver cable is exactly the right thing to have if you carry your laptop around and have to leave it unattended for a moment. Not to heavy, right length and easy going lock with rubber top to prevent damage of your equipment.
Highly recommended.
A good lock, but beware of Microvillage!, 13 Nov 2007
Be warned that if you order this item and it is sent by Microvillage what you actually receive is not exactly the same as illustrated on the image above. I just ordered one of these locks and when it arrived this morning it was actually in a plastic bag with an IBM sticker on it, the item branded as an "IBM Slim Microsaver". Yes it is a Kensington lock, but it doesn't look much like the one on the picture at all. Will it work with my laptop? Yes. Will it deter a thief? I hope so. Just beware of companies who send items not as advertised...

I contacted their support team and they said that they were aware of the problem and looking into it, this was three weeks ago and they still havent fixed the bug.
No mention of this on their web site !
I hope so. Just beware of companies who send items not as advertised...
great, 31 Jan 2005
easy to use and does exactly what it says it does!
Perfectly fine USB wireless interface, 23 Oct 2008
We have two of these in our home network and they work fine on Vista X86 and Vista X64. I'm not overly enthusiastic about the Wireless network selection program that comes with the adapter, but it's functional (prefer the default Vista wireless UI). Range and signal strength in our house is good - tested upto 25 ft with 3 brick walls in between.

Perfect, 03 Nov 2008
Third time lucky, 18 Oct 2008
After having a couple of other brands of cross-cut shredders, finally, I've found one that is up to the task. Recommended.
11 years?11 days!, 10 Aug 2008
This adaptor worked brilliantly for about two weeks, then the connection became intermittent at best, with error messages telling me it had malfunctioned and was not recognized, and has now completely given up altogether. Very disappointed after such a promising start.
DWA-140 & Vista, 04 Aug 2008
It won't work with Vista at all, even using the newer driver from D-Link.I connected for a max of 2 mins in the same room as the router. It will work with X | | |
